I bought these boots on the way to a camping trip in the north GA mountains and was worried about not breaking them in first. They were comfortable right out of the box, and with 3 in. of snow and freezing water my feet never got cold or wet. Awesome boots for the money!

For the money of these boots they are the most relible boot i have ever wore the only thing is the inside liner will eventually tear from removing your foot and then they are hard to get off but they are waterproof to a point and etremely warm and worth the money I am going on 2 years on my 1st pair & bought my son a pair a year ago the liners last about 3 months . I hope they fix this problem i put shoe goop inside mine and still wearing them.

I bought these last week. Boots are very comfortable. Took a little bit to break in but all in all they are a great boot so far. At first wasn't thrilled about the zip up side but quickly realized how much easier it is to get them on and off. If you can catch them on sale, right now $69 they are a steal!

I am planning to use this boot as a work boot. I like the fact that it is leather and 12" tall to make it more snake proof. But I need a comfortable, durable work boot because I will be walking quite a bit. Is this boot for me?Answers

I wear the boot every day since I got them for Christmas. I find them very comfortable. There was no need for break-in for me. They may be hot in the summer because they are Insulated. We will just have to wait and see.Answers

I wear size 11 in every type of shoe. And the sizing is pretty good. But my left boot was just a microsize smaller than my right boot. It was not enough to get upset about. It does not hurt my foot or anything. I hope it will loosten up after wearing for a while.A:Â
a little small for wide feet and high instepAnswers

The zipper goes down to about 1.5 inches from the sole. It goes pretty low. I have never worn a zippered boot before. But so far I like the zipper.A:Â
The zipper goes down to an inch or two from the sole. But I have been in ankle deep water with no leakage.A:Â
The zipper stops about 1 1/2 inches above where the leather meets the rubber sole. I have a bad ankle and there is enough room to get my foot in and out without alot of effort.A:Â
Zipper goes all the way down side.A:Â
All the way down to ankle, but due to the narrow opening created by the zipper, it is not very functional. Should have been at least twice as wide as it is.A:Â
i have had these pair of boots for about a year and they still work great. but anyways, it goes about and inch to 1-1/2 inches above the bottom of the boot.Details:Â

My experience is they run 1/2 size small. I wear an 11.5, but had to get a 12 to wear comfortably.A:Â
I am also an 11 1/2, the 12 fits great on me. Even after it gets broken in.A:Â
Due to the sizing, you should order 12.Answers

I have worn Red Wings and Georgia MudDogs in the past. The Iron Horse Wellington are much lighter than those. Even though the Iron Hose is a 12" boot, they are much lighter. I like that aspect.A:Â
For me they seem to be on the rather heavy side.A:Â
The weight of these boots are 3lbs. 15oz. per pair.A:Â
About a pound less than they origionally were after the "glued on" sole comes off. I had my boots less than a year before they came apart, I am very displeased and have bought my last pair.A:Â
