Get ready to walk the frog! The Rebel® Frog-R™ is a realistic topwater frog that combines one of a bass' favorite foods with one of bass fishing's most effective techniques: the frog and the walk-the-dog (or in this case, walk-the frog) retrieve. The Frog-R's bulbous body pushes a lot of water for tremendous water displacement and attention-getting disturbance. The super realistic Frog-R offers a sure-fire way to ''walk the frog'' and hookup with more lunkers in the process.

  • Super realistic topwater bass-getter
  • Walks-the-frog like a Spook walks-the-dog
  • Creates tremendous water displacement and fish-attracting disturbance

Rebel Frog-R This lure is a great addition to any bass fishermans tackel box. It is very versitile and can be worked it many different ways / situations. I reccomend removing the belly treble hook for ease of use / working around structure. January 17, 2013
Awesome new frog Great bait for us regular joes who cant afford/don't want to pay for the fancy live target walking frogs. I've had some great success in the past on spooks and frogs and now I can have both in one bait. I still prefer traditional frogs for heavier cover but these are perfect for sparser cover. I also have a whole lot better hookup ratio compared too hollw body frogs thanks to the treble hooks. If the bass are on a frog bite and the cover isn't too thick this is the go-to lure. I recommend the cricket frog color. December 2, 2011
Cool Lure I fish top water lures on a regular basis. This lure has the best of two worlds. 1st is the frog style, and 2nd is the walk the dog ( frog ) action. I have used this lure on my home lake, and had awesome results. I caught 4 Large Mouths and 3 Small Mouths on it. The bass can't stand the action, that this lure produces. If used around stumps and rock piles, hang on for some awesome topwater action. The hits are very explosive. I would recomend this lure to anybody, who loves topwater fishing, like I do. When the Spook ain't workin I purchased this bait when it first debuted at the 2012 Bass Master Classic and I can't say I'm disappointed. When I can't get a bite with a Spook I pull out one of these. The whole presentation of this bait is different and can get the bass really going. Unlike a Spook, it moves a whole lot more water and creates a much bigger disturbance. Also, a long retrieve is best. Do a normal walk-the-dog retrieve but only a foot or two and pause for a good 5 seconds. I don't tend to catch a lot of fish with this lure, but when I do, they always push 3+ pounds. This bait provides best with 12 pound monofilament and a medium/medium-heavy rod and catches usually catches large quantities of fish right after a good downpour. I have the bull frog and leopard frog colors and work real well in dark or stained water. Go walk a frog or two. February 16, 2013

I am in the midwest and have used all four shades successfully. That being said the yellow and light green have been most successful.

A:
All of these colors would probably work, but bullfrogs and leopard frogs are what I tend to see around ponds and lakes in Missouri. My first choice would be bullfrog, then leopard frog, then the others.

I normally do a google search to find out what color are the frogs this time of year in my area. I'm in the midwest too.
