Think it through first Mounting seemed simple enough... but stopped myself short when I asked myself where to put it because I want to add a bimini top later.... good thing I did...might have had to move it later and I hate empty holes in the gunnel! September 19, 2013

Not intended as rail mount that I can see... but works either as deck or side mount perfectly.

It is definitely a deck or side mount, it may be converted into a rail type mount with clever use of "u" bolts. But I wouldn't call it a rail mount at all. Thanks and come see us at Bass Pro Shops Orlando!
