Tuna Love them
We use them for Blackfin and Skipjack tunas. The XRap 15 its the best all around the 20 and 30 put some pressure on the drag (respectably). if the tunas are not running to fast they are excellent lures with above average solid hookups, if you need to chase the tunas keep a max of two lines as they could tangle up even from the riggers. As with all diving plugs with treble hooks be careful when handling them near the transom.

I caught a 24" striper in the Chesapeake Bay trolling a 4-3/4" blue sardine.

X-rap for Tuna
Used my order of X- rap last night and they produced 14 Black fin Tuns in 2 hours, good catch, only negative was that I needed to tune the lures right out of the box so they would run at the desired 7 knots.

Someone got this right!
I have used the 15 model in the Bonita color for several years and always have one in the spread
regardless of what else is working. Have hooked tuna, dorado, striped marlin, and rooster fish in the Sea of Cortez Mexaco and king and spanish mack out of Orange Beach Alabama.
When in doudt put-one-out!
I rig using 50 # braid and a 5 foot 40#- 60# fluorocarbon or mono leader.

I frequently visit a pier that hangs over the Atlantic Ocean, its about 30-40 feet above the water; can this lure be used for that pier? If not, is crank baiting in general possible from a pier that high above the water?
Crankbaiting is not easy or very effective from atop a high pier because of the high angle of your line the lure is only allowed to dive to a very minimum and mostly will just flounder on top. I would highly recommend jigs or sinking swimmers from a pier. Good luck!
