Not Finnish Quality
I haven't even used the knife yet and the finish is coming off the bolster. Of course I assumed the bolster was metal from the Web site pictures, but it appears to be plastic with a silver paint coating. Also, it appears the entire knife was cheaply made in China and is not from quality Finnish steel that Rapala is known for. I think Rapala is making a huge mistake to place their brand name on cheap products like this. They will ruin their reputation for quality fast with products like this.
If you want an inexpensive knife then it is OK, but it should just be clear what you're buying from the start.

Not the same knife
I purchased a couple of these fillet knives expecting the same quality that Rapala is known for in their classic wooden handle knife. I was sorely disappointed. The steel in the blade does not appear to be the same as the original knife. It will not hold a good edge and has even chipped from minimal use. I have used the Classic Rapala wooden handle knives for over 20 years and use them for filleting fish, in the kitchen daily and for butchering venison. There is no comparison between the original knife blade and this cheap immitation. The two "Soft Grip" knives that I purchased have been stuffed into a drawer and remain there. The handle is nice but the blade is poor. Please take my advice and purchase the Rapala wooden handled knife instead, you will be much happier.

The rubber handle is very nice when hands are wet... its definitely a good choice.
