Love it, don't know what I can say that no one else has already, just want to joint the crowd loving the shad rap. sro4 is great for stream and lake bank bouncing for smallmouth. Don't know how many I have, but they all are the natural shad color. It is a guarantee if fish are where you are throwing.

This product works exactly as advertised. I have the dark brown crawdad color, and it is my new go to lure as it works wonders. The first day I had the lure I took it to the local pond, out of the first 10 cast i brought in 3 fish and 2 hits. After the first 1/2 hour of fishing I had caught about 6 or 7 decent bass and a large bluegill. I love how it dives to the depth advertised. The colors on the lure itself are simply beautiful. I am very pleased with this addition to my collection. I only wish it was a little cheaper. Overall I would buy this lure again and may be doing so in the near future.

Another great lure like all rapalas, I seem to get more strikes and prefer the rapala x-rap shad however. The fire tiger color is awesome

I have caught more fish this year on this little bait than I have any other in past. I got a bunch of different sizes and colors. They performs great, holds fish on, and great action. I can cover the hole water spectrum with these and they do it effectively.

If you have used the shadrap before this is a new model. They have also added a number 6 as well! I have used the shad rap for years but I dont have the two new sizes yet but I will. Check because alot of places have them including bass pro shops.A:

The single bass lure looks like a Bomber. The other picture has a variety of baits but one of them looks like a Bagley Killer B.Answers

Simple answer: NO! This is in no waythe best all around bass lure! The best
all around bass lure would be a soft
plastic bait like a Senko or BPS Sticko
because there are only certain times
of the year that a hard plastic bait
shines. Plus, the Sticko catches much
larger fish.

Shad Rap better by far on the lake but the Rapala minnow better for ponds.A:

does this have as weak of a bill as the other Rapala lures? (the DT Series seem to have especially weak bills)

A:
Pretty strong bills, but not as strong as some other manufacturers. Can't go wrong w/ Rapala though.A:
it shouldn't, mines been jammed up in the rocks and reefed on pretty hard and has held up nicelyA:
They have a pretty strong bill i have run them into and off rocks trolling for walleye and they hold up good. Had one bill crack but it was after hours of use.Top 1000 Contributor
A:
It seems to be pretty weak, broke 14 of the last year. wont buy rapala againA:
Haven't had any problems with the bills.A:
No. In fact, the DTs have extremely weak bills, so i switched from DTs to Shad Raps. I have had about 6 DTs lips breaK off, and never once with a Shad Rap. I usually bounce this off of rocks and timber, (you are supposed to do this with a square lipped bait but i have found no difference) and i am very pleased with the durability.Answers

All I use is the regular Shad Rap and love it. I keep a variety of colors and sizes in my box.Top 100 Contributor

They both work well but I prefer the balsa over the plastic version. The balsa "wiggle" seems more natural to me and I've caught more fish on the balsa version but the plastic version is heavier casts further, suspends and has rattles. You really can go wrong with either one, buy 1 of each and see which one works best for you.Answers

Every one will probably say something different but my favorite is the baby bass color then the shad color followed by fire tiger!Top 100 Contributor

The color that catches the largest and most bass is the best color. Too many variables in your fishing to tell.Top 10 Contributor

use natural colors in clear water and bright colors in stained water.A:
I have had a lot of luck with the Yellow Perch color for bass. Also the Bleeding Olive Flash has worked for me too.A:
Silver with Black back; natural minnow color if the water conditions are right.Top 100 Contributor

I like the bleeding series in the shad color. The red lip along with the red treble hooks and the shad color works great!Details:

ive heard that the rapala dt series have especially weak bills, is this bill like that? is it that weak?Answers
A:
If you slap it in the water to get weeds off of it you will break the bill. But in ordinary fishing situations the bill is fine!A:
no this bill aint weakTop 100 Contributor
A:
How strong do you need the bill to be? It is coming through water. It is plenty strong enough.A:
I notice you mentioned "you heard the DT's have weak bills". Have you ever had a problem with one? I have never had a problem with any Rapala lip. Maybe if you catch so many big fish it will finally give out, but that is true with anything.A:
I haven't broken a bill on any of the rapalas. I'm not afraid to cast right at bridge pilings, wood, rip rap, sea walls...nothing. I think the plastic is very durable.Details:
