  • Perfectly mimics a spooked baitfish
  • Classic balsa body shapes
  • Scatter Lip
  • Unique aggressive, evasive, erratic, sinking action
The Rapala Scatter Rap CountDown is an all-species bait that sinks at a reliable rate, over and over. When cast and counted down or trolled, the Scatter Rap CountDown brings to life the most aggressive, evasive, erratic sweeping action you've ever seen. Equipped with VMC® black nickel hooks, Rapala's Scatter Lip, and a balsa body, the Scatter Rap CountDown may be cast or trolled to variable depths and perfectly mimics a spooked baitfish with an evasive, erratic, sinking, non-rattling action that will entice multiple species of gamefish.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Effective Lure Caught a HOG on my second cast w/this new lure. It was one of 7 big bass during a 5hr trip that tried to eat this bait! At one point my partner had cast a crank, a lizard, and a rattletrap to a target with no luck. I then cast this countdown and got CRUSHED when the lure hit the water! I believe the action is so natural as a fleeting minnow that fish have not seen in the normal artificial baits. You do not want a straight retrieve. The bait deflects further as line speed increases. Rated 4 out of 5 by have to get used to it I love the action on this lure, but you have to get used to it. If you start cranking too fast, it doesn't run right. Start off slowly and then increase you retrieve speed and it's fine. Have used it only a couple times, and haven't caught anything on it yet, but it's a Rapala. I KNOW it will produce. May 9, 2013
Rated 5 out of 5 by Another Great Rapala I got 2 of these guys and yes they really do "scatter". I took them out for a trial run and they not only go side to side but they also swim or hunt while doing so. They feel solid and the paint seems pretty durable as well. I plan on getting the other versions of this guy as well. And for only $9 that's a pretty great deal! April 11, 2013
Rated 5 out of 5 by GREAT ACTION LOVE USING THIS LURE FOR BASS FISHING.HAS A GREAT ACTION TO IT. DOES VERY WELL RIGHT AT SUNSET. April 1, 2013
