I came across the Rapala Silver Red Head at your store in Ft. Myers. Although Rapala markets this lure as Saltwater I bought it for Pike in the Freshwater lakes I fish in Ontario, Canada. The results are incredible, the Pike and Pickerl just love it. I had to order over the net due to the lures not being available in stores in land. I think Rapala is missing an incredible market share by not zoning in on Freshwater Fishermen.

these baits work very well in the evening and early morning when the stripers are running aliwives(Shad) into the shallow waters and against the banks in early to middle May on Lake Cumberland.

I bought the needlefish color pattern for fishing on the gulf side of Florida. We only got on the ocean one day, so i didn't get to catch a fish with this, but it really looks like a fish in the water. The Sliver is tough, as i used it in shallow intercoastal waters ramming it into everything possible to trigger bites, and no sign of wear.

Check the manufacturer website for these information, if you specify the lure, I can help you. And for trolling look for the diving chart(graph) of the lure on the internet.
These lures sink fast and are designed to be retrieved fast. When retrieving on a fast retrieve, these lures will usually stay about 1-2 ft below the surface. The Spanish Mackerel and Bluefish will hit these lures from below.
