I have only used this on one fishing trip, cleaned some medium sized crappie and I was impressed with the control you have even on smaller fish. I especially like the cordless aspect.

Worked well for the first year, after that the batteries charge didn't last long. Now on the 3rd year I can fillet only 3 or 4 sheepshead per battery.

lot of waleye this year.
I imagine the blades of all electric knives
last about the same. They are serated and not resharpenable.

I cleaned 500-600 fish with the blades that came with my purchase of the knife and they are still sharp. You can buy replacement blades pretty cheap.Top 25 Contributor

In the plastic cased set, the knife comes with two sets of blades as you mention, two batteries, and a charger. These knives can be purchased singly cheaper, but do not have extra blade or battery.
Purchasing the set is a better deal.
