Rated 1 out of 5 by Newtofishing Broke upon second use
I thought this would be a great tool. It was difficult to use on small rings and the plastic spring in the middle broke the second time I used it. The tool then separated and is difficult to keep together without the spring I called Rapala to see if I could buy a replacement spring and they will not just sell me one I must have proof of purchase and send the entire tool back> Shipping would cost to much. I am very disappointed with quality and customer service by Rapala

Bottom part of jaw is too short to allow use of small split rings. The pliers are held together with a poor rivet (pop rivet?) that opened up after 3 uses. Junk. In the trash now.
Too bad I have to give this one full star.

Judging by the gap in the pliers, something about the size of your key ring would be the smallest.A:
I think it will work with a size 1 fairly well. But be patient. Any smaller and it would not work very well at all.1 of 1
