Ice Fishing This is a great jigging lure for Minnesota ice fishing. Tip the treble with a minnow head and have at it. I use a variety of lures when Ice fishing and this is one. I use a quick connect to change lures. December 30, 2009
Quality Lure........... I like the quality of this lure, i used it couple of time in winter and fall and did not have great success so far, but may be i am not into jigging so much, i will give it a try again some other time. October 19, 2009
Good for perch I love this jig. I use it for jigging off the boat on Ross Lake in Laona Wisconson. They are good when you put a leech or a nightcrawler on the treble hook. I caught the limit in three hours. July 12, 2009
rapala there great great of jigging in the winter and also in the boat during the summer March 9, 2009

A:
Lake Winnibigoshish is a fantastic Walleye lake in the state of Minnesota! The forage base in this lake for Walleyes are Perch, Shiners and even Ciscoes. With that said, it may be a good idea to “match the hatch.” Colors such as Chrome Blue, Green Tiger, Hot Perch, Glow Yellow Perch, Gold, Perch and Silver would be great places to start. With that said, Walleyes are notorious for being finicky and any particular day they could completely ignore natural colors and be attracted to the bright colors such as the UV color options. We think a selection of natural and bright colors should cover all your basis.
Thank you and happy fishing out on Winnie!!

I would use more natural colors, but unless you do not have a boat, you don't have to use it in the ice. I see it happen all the time, and maybe if I was more of a walleye fisherman I would know, But I would just say that use natural colors.

I would think so with a smaller size and a minnow color. You can actually catch crappie with it, so I am sure you can use it for other panfish as well.

This really depends on the weight of the lure used, but my typical setup includes a sensitive (fast or extra-fast action) medium power rod. I use a 10 pound (or heavier) superline with a 8 pound fluorocarbon leader.

A:
yes, although i havn't done it a friend of mine has and he was catching them about 15in. on about a 2-2,1/2 size range so get something a little bigger and you'll bring in bigger pike. i think the parrot color the perch color or the silver color would do really good cause pike love bright colors.
