have been using this great lure since its intro river or lakes it catches fish. if you find them flatrap can catch them. keep plenty of all colors. iam sure you will love them as i do. way to go rapala.

I live in northern Thailand and fish jungle perch ( ie, Crasop ) 2 or 3 times a week. The Rapala Flat Rap FLR-8 is by far the best lure I have ever used for these perch. I really like the action and relatively shallow depth. The "Clown" is my favorite color for day in and day out success. I am always afraid you will run out since this particular lure is sometimes hard to find in northern Thailand.

This lure really comes to life in the water, it's amazing! Bass just can resist the action on this thing. I use it from pre spawn to fall, and it's one of my best lures. One day, I caught seven bass on this in less then two hours, in the middle of a cold front. I just love this lure, definetly get this. One of the best lures out there. I just love to watch ripples come behing my lure, then set the hook, then there's a huge bass on the end of my line. Just amazing!

I do use the Rapala Flat Rap FLR 8 in brackish or off color water at times with good results. I believe the unique action of this lure results in it being seen or "felt" by the fish.

Salt water & you just twitch it & let it drift or it comes in like a pencil, straight & no life. Its been good for Sea trout in CLEAR water.Details:Â

I USE ONLY TWO SIZES FLR9 FLR11 ALLYEAR LONG FL9 MOSTLY IN EARLY SPRING AT THE START OF SPAWN WATER 44 DEGREES FISHED REALLY SLOW ON A THREEWAY RIG WORKS GREAT.A:Â

Not better, just different. On a recent trip the x-rap was better during the middle fo the day when they were tail tugging the dressed trebble hook.Early and late the flat rap was better.

I found that the Flat Rap is good for situations that call for a finesse/quietertechnique. Take your time workin' that Flat Rap and you'll get results. With the X-rap, I have better luck when the fish are more active/less negative mood. Bottom line for me?.....use both and let the fish tell you what they want.

It draws bites well, but the hooks are too small. Four out of six largemouths I hooked threw this bait. I've switched to SureSet hooks, which should solve that problem.Details:Â
