Rated 4.7 out of 5 by 3 reviewers.
Rated 5 out of 5 by Great for trout. I use this float with great success when fishing for trout with a spinning outfit. The weight of the float allows you to cast flies or natural bait without having to add additional weight to your line. The absence of additional weight, AI split shot sinkers, gives your bait much more of a natural presentation. If you tie a 4-lb. test line from the float to the bait while using a 6-lb. main line you will normally recover the float if your bait gets hung up. August 3, 2014
Rated 4 out of 5 by Good Floater Wish the Torpedo floater was a tad bigger. I was able to cast larger flies and trout bait with great success, catching small mouth bass and trout in a fast moving stream. I was able to see the floater very well. July 29, 2013

A:
It is hollow and sealed water tight. If you drill a hole in it and fill it with water it will sink. There are small clear floats on the market that are designed to hold water that may work better for you.

Staff Answer
A:
The floats are not designed to have water in them. The addition of water will sink the float.
