Rage® Chisel 2-Blade Expandable Mechanical Broadheads feature the proven, extremely popular technology of Rage’s rear-deploying SlipCam broadheads combined with a bone-busting chisel point. The ShockLock blade-retention system locks the blades in place with an O-ring that acts as a shock absorber for the blades—and they remain locked until the moment of impact. Black, anti-friction chisel points and red-anodized ferrules.

Rated 5 out of 5 by My Broadhead of Choice Here's the need-to-know on these broadheads. I have shot Rage for 5 seasons now, this being the first for the chisel tips. In the previous seasons I shot more of an entry level bow (PSE Stinger) and lighter carbon fiber arrows (carbon express blue streak) and I never got a complete pass through with a deer, however, none of them made it 50 yards. This year I am shooting a bow at 350 fps IBO and heavy arrows (11.3 gpi) and just blew through a 300 lb black bear (piled up after ten yards) and had to pry the arrow out of the ground after. With that being said, I wouldn't try to fling these out of an older/slower shooting bow with light arrows. I think the reason a lot of people have problems is that their setups are not generating enough kinetic energy. Another thing to be noted is the chisel tip bodies appear to be made out of a lighter aluminum. After shooting my black bear the sides of the broadhead were grooved out where the blades deployed on impact rendering it unusable again. Some people may have a problem spending $40 on broadheads that are a one time use, but I look at it like if you are going to spend thousands of dollars on a hunt I'm willing to lose $10-15 on a product that I know is going to put down the animal. Rated 5 out of 5 by These seem promising Just picked up a pack of 3 with the practice tip a few days ago after reading a ton of reviews about them. So far I'm very impressed and can't wait to try them out this season. I didn't have to make any adjustments to my bow to get them shooting with my field points, unlike most of the other tips I've used in the past. The only complaint I have with them is I felt the blades weren't sharp enough, but that was an easy fix. May 5, 2014
Rated 5 out of 5 by Great Heads I have used this broadhead for the last 2 years and I have had great success. My bow is tuned correctly and these will fly with my field points out to 40 yards, then they drop about an inch and a half at 50 and 2 inches at 60. This is really awesome in my book! I shot a buck with it two years ago that was quartering towards me at 23yds and I had to shoot him right in front of the shoulder and the broadhead performed amazing! The arrow went all the way through and stuck out the other side, right behind the front leg. I was shooting a Hoyt Rampage XT at 70#, 27in. draw with Easton Axis arrows. I WOULD NOT RECOMMEND THESE TO ANYONE SHOOTING 60 POUNDS AND A LIGHT ARROW, OR SOMEONE THAT MAKES UNETHICAL SHOTs THAT DO NOT GET IN THE VITAL AREA. If you do this, then that is your problem and not the broadhead's fault. My tip would be that if you buy these, get the shock collars too. i think that the new packs come with them but if they don't, get them, they are worth the money and do not effect arrow flight enough to make a difference.
