There are very mixed reviews on this broad head so I will tell you what they have done for me. 1 Coyote, shot him in the butt and came out on his shoulder on the other side, all gut shot and he died about 50 yard later with a good blood trail. 1 250 pound hog that went 20 yards and dropped gave out a moan and died within a minute. 3 150 pound hogs that went 40 yards max with a great blood trail. All have been pass throughs except the 250 pound hog which due to their extra layer of fat that a deer does not have and is understandable. The only problem is 2 hogs I never found.. shots were not the best but not the worst. I recommend trying them out.

It's broad head is amazing. I shot a doe at 47 yards and ran about the same distance. The entrance was at least 3" in diameter and maybe even bigger on the exit wound.

These replacement blades make your Rage broadheads like new again. Comes with blades, screws, o-rings, and the tiny allen wrench.

I do not reccomend any mechanical bladed broadhead for shoot thru netting, they will open on inpact. Use something like a wasp or a muzzy, you'll be happy.

No they don't go through netting that good, since they will even deploy in mid-air. If you want a broad head that can shoot through netting buy the T3 by G5. You just need to buy a stronger retention clip, which G5 sells for the T3. I'm more of a grim reaper person myself, but the T3 is a good broad head for shooting through netting and does a 1 1/2" cut.Answers

Replacement o-rings cand be obtained from Rage. As to the tool I have not needed any thing special other tha what I have in my archey tool kit.A:Â
you can pick up a blade replacement kit from BPS. Boil the heads in water for a bit to loosen up any material that would be in the threads.A:Â

You sure can.....I'm using a Barnett ghost 400 and they work fine....I prefer the 3 blade to the 2 blade since they are shorter and feel that they are some what stronger.A:Â

I've shot these with no problems out of a crossbow, they come with a practice tip so you dont have to waste a broadhead sighting in. What I do is get close with a regular field point and do all the fine tuning with the practice tip.Answers

I prefer the 3 blade only because all I have ever used are 3 blade fixed and mechanical. I have more confidence with 3 blades versus 2....A:Â
3 blades gives you cushin if the deer moves even a cm, you still have the 3 blades vs the 2, better chance to hit a vital, lighter in weight as wellA:Â
I believe 3 is better -just in case the two blade is parallel to a major blood vessel - it wouldn't cut it - 3 Blade leaves a huge open woundA:Â
I've tried both and currently use the 3 blade for more overall cutting surface. I've not had any problems, but the blades on the 3 blade can "physically" interfer with one another when deploying, where the 2 blades cannot. Again, I haven't had that happen but the blades on the 3 blade do overlap, so I guess it could.A:Â
The advantage I see in 3 blades is the extra cutting diameter. Not in overall tip to tip cutting distance, as the 2 blade is larger when measured in that fashion, but the extra blade might catch vitals on off angle shots where theoretically a 2 blade could slide by without hitting vitals. Do I know this for sure - no - however I am not willing to bet on it either.A:Â
In my opinion they both work well. It mostly depends on what you want. I just feel more comfortable using three blades over two.A:Â
its a preferance thing. some guys i know say three fletching, three blade. in my opinoin whatever causes the most devistation, flies accurate, and is easy to tune is the best. try the rage . they rock. super easy to use and shread through bone tissue engin blocks. just kidding on that last one but i think you get what i was sayingA:Â

I would not recommened shooting them through the mesh... They are designed to fly like a field tip and if even one blade deloys early it can throw off your shot enough to make a big difference.A:Â
I hunt quite a bit from a ground blind, but cannot tell you if it will open. I usually open 2 or 3 shooting holes before I start my day, just to be on the safe side. I know, that fixed blades with cut the mesh and fly true, but dont know on these.A:Â

based upon my experience with them, I would think you can shoot them through mesh.. just use caution taking them out of the quiver as they will pre-deploy nearly 50% of the timeA:Â
You can shoot them through mesh, however it's like hitting a tree branch, it will be deflected in sone way! Wouldn't recommend shootinganything but a gun through meshA:Â
I have used them in my ameristep ground blind and they have not opened when hitting the mesh...using a fast bow though - 378 grain arrow at 323 fps.A:Â

Do not shoot these through mesh the rage broadhead opens very fast you can go to there web site and watch a video. This goes for all mechanical broadheads. Fixed blades will work for close shots 20 yards and under stay away from fixed broadheads with curved blades when shooting through the mesh.As always practice first.

You do not want to shoot through mesh with any broadhead, because of arrow deflection, as far as opening goes, they probaly are not going to open anyway.A:Â
I'd be scared to shoot any type mechanical broadhead through the mesh. Great choice on the rage though, shocking results1 of 1
