I purchased this mount and just received it today. I purchased it because I wanted a mount that was more secure than basic weaver style mounts for my new Remington vantage .177 cal air rifle. I did my research before making the purchase however I couldn’t find any accurate dimensions for the mount. As I feared it didn’t fit my new scope I purchased for the air rifle. The mount looks like it’s made well however it didn’t work with my new scope since my new scope is much smaller in length than traditional scopes since my new scope is actually a cross bow scope. As many of you know with the reverse recoil that air rifles have cross bow scopes work great on air rifles however most cross bow scopes are not as long as most air rifle scopes. I know that RWS makes a mount that appears to be shorter with 8 screws however it’s not in Bass Pro’s product assortment at this point. With the basic mounts that come with the Remington vantage 1200 with my cross bow scope that I purchased I’m still holding a consistent group however it’s not a solid enough base for the type of shots I will be taking with this air rifle. If you have a traditional scope it should work great! I wish Bass Pro carried the shorter mount with the more secure 8 screw mounting system opposed to the 4 screws that are offered on this mount.

This is the only airgun scope mount I would ever buy! This scope mount will keep your scope from moving on the dovetail Guaranteed! I have used many different scope rings to hold my scope in place but this is the best one that you can buy. You should also buy the RWS 3-9X44 Scope too. This is the best scope that you can get. I guarantee it wont break or become inaccurate. I have had my RWS for 10 months and it is hole in hole accurate.
