RWS Lock Down Scope Mounts
Most Solid Air Rifle Scope Mount
I had hard time finding a mount for my Gamo Bull Whisper Bone Collector air rifle because anything l put on it was not able to hold the scope for long.
Then l found this one at Bass Pro. It is a little pricey ar $39.00, but the quality, workmanship and durability make well up for it. If l could suggest one thing for the manufacturer, it would be to build in a slight decline in angle of the mount, to accomodate air rifles with barrel droop. I corrected mine by placing 6 cut out strips of Red Bull can wall and so far the setup is holding well.
Great product. I would also recomend it for Marlin Model 60 or any other .22 rifle that don't have the regular weaver style scope base.

very good Purchase
Was having a problem with my RWS pellet rifle shooting consistant . Looking on line suggested to use the RWS lock down scope mount. I purchased
one from Bass Pro and my problems are over . The
rifle shoots very consistant now. When I removed the old scope mounts . I could see that the scope was moveing in the mounts even though they were very tight. RWS lock down mount is a high quality mount. The service was great from Bass Pro. Recieved my mount in just a few days.

Good height and strong lock down. Use on a Marlin 795 with no issues.

I purchased this mount and just received it today. I purchased it because I wanted a mount that was more secure than basic weaver style mounts for my new Remington vantage .177 cal air rifle. I did my research before making the purchase however I couldn’t find any accurate dimensions for the mount. As I feared it didn’t fit my new scope I purchased for the air rifle. The mount looks like it’s made well however it didn’t work with my new scope since my new scope is much smaller in length than traditional scopes since my new scope is actually a cross bow scope. As many of you know with the reverse recoil that air rifles have cross bow scopes work great on air rifles however most cross bow scopes are not as long as most air rifle scopes. I know that RWS makes a mount that appears to be shorter with 8 screws however it’s not in Bass Pro’s product assortment at this point. With the basic mounts that come with the Remington vantage 1200 with my cross bow scope that I purchased I’m still holding a consistent group however it’s not a solid enough base for the type of shots I will be taking with this air rifle. If you have a traditional scope it should work great! I wish Bass Pro carried the shorter mount with the more secure 8 screw mounting system opposed to the 4 screws that are offered on this mount.
