ROCKY® Prowler 16'' Non-Insulated Waterproof Snake Side-Zip Hunting Boots for Men
Rocky Snake Boots
Came to the house in Record time. Fit perfectly and wear great. Very comfortable. Sure makes me feel a lot safer during warm weather bow season in the South. Hope I don't have to test to see if they really work.

I bought a pair of these at the store in Mobile, AL, they had them on sale for $89. Luckily, they had plenty of 11's and I tried on three pair before I found one that didn't have a really "sticky zipper". They are very comfortable boots and do well in water. I wouldn't recommend standing in it, but they hold up nice splashing through puddles.

DO NOT BUY THESE!!!
These boots are comfortable, but have the WORST zipper. I have fought with them from day one trying to keep the fabric out of the zipper when putting them on. The zipper snagged some fabric today when I put them on to go quail hunting. At the end of the hunt, three people working together could not get them unzipped. The zipper finally broke while pulling on it with pliers. I then had to cut the side out to get them off. DISGUSTED!!! Do not buy these boots!!

Uncomfortable, Not Waterproof
I hunt the swamps of FL and bought these boots after seeing a coral snake in a field. These boots were rugged for pushing through palmettos, but were quick to leak when wading through water more than a few inches deep. I returned the first pair after talking to someone who had a pair for several years with no leaks and got a second. Unfortunately, they leaked more than the first!! Luckily the staff at Bass Pro was willing to honor the 1 yr warranty and refund my $$$. Must've gotten two lemons in a row...
These boots for comfortably in the store and even when walking on even ground, but the plastic (I assume) ankle liner dug into the outside of my ankles while walking across uneven ground even when wearing the Redhead Snakeboot socks that are thick around the ankles for protecting against such a thing.
Was initially very proud of these boots, but had to return them because I cannot tolerate a leaky and uncomfortable pair of boots while walking miles through the swamp.

These boots have EVA soles with nylon uppers and lowers with a leather accents. Nylon provides a very good abrasion resistance. However, I've experienced leaks at the adhesive joints around the soles. Returned mine and will be getting some other brand with better waterproofing.
On new boots, I usually do a couple of things to ease the pain of the breaking-in period. First, I always buy boot cushion liners (usually Dr. Schols); and, second I wear thick 100% cotton socks if I'm going to be doing a lot of walking; and, 3rd, I take Scent Shield bar soap and lub the zippers. After about the third or fourth wear, the boots are broken-in, but I keep the boot cushion in as long as it last.
You can forget the break-in. The material is just too tough. Mine are/were very tight around the leg. Too tight in fact. As for the zipper, mine got stuck at the top of the boot the second time I wore them. I had to break the zipper to get out of the boot.
