I purchased these boots for cold weather deer season. Once broke in these boots are confortable and warm. I am very pleased with these boots at the price that I paid.

I have used Rocky boots for many years and have always been satisfied with the results. The Prowlers are no exception as they too have satisfied me. Need no break-in time, are lightweight and warm. Only negative points to reflect on are they are noisy because they creak when walking and don't cinch boots tight at bottom because they will rub just above the ankle. Also, if you wear thick socks, buy a half size larger than you normally wear.

I usually don't write reviews.....but these boots deserve it. I bought 2 pair...one for my 15 yoa son and one for myself. I've worn Rocky duty boots for years, but rarely buy without trying on first as I have flat feet and require wide widths. I took a chance with these and couldn't be happier. I bought a size larger for both of us to wear heavy wool socks for winter hunting. They are warm and water proof and felt great right out of the box......no uncomfortable break-in period and they look great. Got cought in a down poor during one of our last hunts and my feet were the only thing dry.

800 gram thinsulate in a very light boot. My feet dont get that cold I usually use a 400 boot for deer hunting & ice-fishing in NW Ohio. but for the sale price I can sweat a little bit. I did buy a size larger & they fit great had em out on deer stand twice and they are comfortable. Cant give em 5 stars cuz i havent been in water with them yet.

I tore my ankle real bad while moose hunting in Quebec last fall,I need a pair of boots with very good ankle support, would these boots be ok,or would anybody have any suggestions.Answers

I too have injured my ankle(broken) and have to have good support. These boots fill that need.A:
These have hook style eyelets that go up the leg. I have achilles problems and found that i could tighten these up for better ankle support. They provide good support without being uncomfortable or overly stiff.A:
ankle support is very good.A:
yes if you bind your ankle tied do the sports players do in a game the top have plenty of room to do soA:
i believe they would. i messed my ankle up pretty bad a few years back and these give great support but still enough give to allow good mobility without wearing you out. I found with some boots that gave god support that my ankle would start hurting after a while because of the amount of strength it took from my ankle to lift and bend my foot in the boot. I own this boot and feel it has the best all around feature functionality of any boot i have tried. the traction, support, fit, warmth and weight are excellent for wearing on long walks or hikes in areas where the ground is far from level. I wear these boots every day i am in the woods, not just the days i hunt, because of the comfort and how light weight they are. the only thing i would change is i would make a second boot option in the same boot 9 inches higher in a snake boot because these are everything i want. hope this helps....A:
They would be great for ankle support but even the wide sizing is narrow so if you have a wide foot I would say don't botherAnswers
A:
dont know for sure but they are light.. lighter than just about any serious boot I've had.A:
