Rated 5 out of 5 by TTTT Greatest boots!
These boots have the winning combination of zippers and laces to get you in and out fast while allowing for a customized fit with a simple adjustment of the laces. I have worn other brands of boots similar to these, but none are as comfortable or long lasting as the Rocky brand. Good tread on the sole, very waterproof, and the snake proof feature is true to it's word. If these ever wear out, I'll buy the same pair again!

Rated 5 out of 5 Just the best!
Absolutely the best boots!, absolutely comfortable in all kind of weather!, just buy an extra pair of laces because the one that comes with the boots are so thin and breaks almost inmediatly. My second pair of boots!,

Rated 3 out of 5 by amberjo1234 great product but check for sensor tag
I purchased these as a Christmas gift. When I received them I inspected the box to make sure they were the right size, only to find a sensor tag attached to one if the boots. Thank goodness I live near a Bass Pro store otherwise it would have been a much bigger inconvenience than it already was. The boots though were exactly what he wanted. He said they were very comfortable. Overall the only reason I gave 3 stars was based on the fact that I had to go to the store for the tag issue. These are an excellent product just need to make sure to check package before sending to customer.

Rated 1 out of 5 by jkhuntin Poorly constructed
Worst constructed boot I have ever worn. I wore the boots one time for about 3 hours and the material where the boot and zipper meet frayed on the right boot and actually seperated leaving a gapping hole on the left boot. I was walking through a grown up field with brush and briers but I expect more from Rocky. If these boots can't hold up to brush and briars, I would not want to encounter a snake while wearing them. They will be going back to bass pro shops and I will not be purchasing another product made by Rocky.

myself and several of my hunting buddies have the older rocky snake boots(probaly about 5 years old) and everyone of them leak most of them within the first year. just curious if rocky has resolved this problem.Answers
A:
They seem to have. I wear them in every condition. (Dry, snow, wet) the hold up very well and I love them.A:

The zipper has no affect on the boots leaking...My rattlers never leaked.A:
My husband only wears Rockies for work and if they are like the standard work boots he said they should be. He said he has been in some deep water in his work boots and not had an issue. Said both zippers are the same on the bootsA:
No. I have not had that problem. There is an inside gusset.A:
My feet stayed dry. The liner for the zipper doesn't go all the way up though. But I think you'd still be fine in about ten or twelve inches of water.A:
No!!!I stood in a creek just below my knees no leaking at all!!A:
Yes they are water proof but they are not designed for standing in deep puddles or creeks for long periods of time. They are snake boots designed for hunting not fly fishing.A:
no these boots have a V to them with waterproof liner... I've had 2 pairs of lace up snake boots and many pairs of other waterproof boots and they all have leaked.... these haven't gotten wet yet so I bet in time they will all leak...A:
No, these are my favorite boots and as long as you don't go deeper than the goretex lining you'll be fine.Top 250 Contributor
A:
No, the GORE-TEX lining is behind the zipper. This lining goes up to about 2-3 inches from the top of the boot. Where this lining ends the “waterproof” ends though.Answers

Do these boots actually lace as well as zip up the side. I have large calves and need to be able to loosen laces if possible.
Answers
A:
No laces, only zipper.A:
Yes they doA:
Yes, adjustable by letting the laces out.A:
yes, you can loosen laces and still fits comfortableA:
Yes they do. They are perfect for adjusting.A:
NoA:
Yes they do both. just put them with the zipper up then lace to your fit and from then on you can simply use the zipper.A:
Yes they lace and zip, that was the selling point for me as I have big calves as well.A:
Two different styles all together. One with laces no zipper. And one with zipper and a smooth front. I am a big guy and my size 13 fit with just enough room to fit and feel secure and very comfortable.A:
yes be sure to have them not tied & loose when you put them on , zip up tie and go.A:
Yes, the first time you put these boots on you need to have the lase very loose.Slide them on then zip them up. Now tie the shoe lase not to tight but where it is comfortable. From now on all you should have to do is use the zipper. I've never unlase mine from the first time I tied them up. I truly love this boot.Details:
