I normally do not leave reviews but had to on this one. I am an avid bow hunter and am in the woods a m inimum of 3 times a week hunting hogs or scouting new areas when not in deer season. I live in FL in hard core snake country. I have always used plain old rubber boots until I saw these on sale. I was a little reluctant to buy them but I am glad I did. These are the BEST and lightest boots I have ever owned!! You cannot even tel they are snake proof. Waterproof, cammo, snake proof, what more can you ask for. The zipper is nice on the side. Just fit them the way you like with the laces and doudle knot them. You will never have to tie a now agian. BUY THESE BOOTS IF YOU DONT OWN THEM ALREADY!

I have had mine 4 years and their almost like new. I hunt in so. california and we have a lot of rattlers out here. So, Im a little paranoid. Found 2 within 5 minutes once while chukar hunting. I love the lace zipper/combo. I zip the zipper up and adjust the laces to my liking,then tie a double or triple knot. They will last a season until I need to retie. Just zip it up. Adjust the laces as needed.Super light and tough. I will suggest long tube socks for your calves,though. I can wear these all day. I unzip them on breaks to air them out a tad. Best snake boot I have ever had.

I purchased these boots a couple of months ago and love them. These boots out of the box were very comfortable. After a month of breaking in they are even better! I really like the zipper and lace up, this allows for a custom fit. As far as the “water proof”, it could go a little higher. They are only water proof up to the top of the Gore-Tex, which is a few inches lower than the top of the boot. As far as walking in wet grass (or in my case soy beans and cotton), they have kept me dry all the way to the top. Thankfully I have not had to test out the snake bite part of the boot, but I am confident that they will do the job.

These boots are the best I have ever used for hunting.They are light,waterproof,give great ankle support,and have great traction.I own a pair of Rocky Buck Stalkers and a pair goretex Rockys that have been sitting in a locker for the passed 2 seasons.I sold my Bass Pro Ultra Snake boots to a hunting buddy after buying these Rattlers and now he wants to buy my Rattlers because of the zipper making them easy to put on and take off.Thank you Bass Pro Shops for such a great product.Note: They do run true to size so order wide sizes if you need a wider than normal size.

myself and several of my hunting buddies have the older rocky snake boots(probaly about 5 years old) and everyone of them leak most of them within the first year. just curious if rocky has resolved this problem.

Yes they are water proof but they are not designed for standing in deep puddles or creeks for long periods of time. They are snake boots designed for hunting not fly fishing.A:
no these boots have a V to them with waterproof liner... I've had 2 pairs of lace up snake boots and many pairs of other waterproof boots and they all have leaked.... these haven't gotten wet yet so I bet in time they will all leak...A:
No, these are my favorite boots and as long as you don't go deeper than the goretex lining you'll be fine.

No, the GORE-TEX lining is behind the zipper. This lining goes up to about 2-3 inches from the top of the boot. Where this lining ends the “waterproof” ends though.Answers

Yes, the first time you put these boots on you need to have the lase very loose.Slide them on then zip them up. Now tie the shoe lase not to tight but where it is comfortable. From now on all you should have to do is use the zipper. I've never unlase mine from the first time I tied them up. I truly love this boot.Details:
