I am basically an Orvis fan, everything I have for fly fishing is Orvis except for the fly lines. This line shoot well, floats high, easy pick up and the color is not bad either.

This line performs! Hands down. If your looking for great trout line this is what you want. The tappered design makes casting this line a breeze... literally this line will just shoot off the rod with miniumal effort. I have tried lesser expensive lines in the past, but decided to splurge and give this one a try and am very happy I did.

I have had two rods with this line, and now have a third. I haven't cleaned the line on one rod since I bought it over two years ago, and even with consistent fishing the line still floats like new. The line casts very well, is durable and does what you need it to do. I won't buy anything but RIO Gold for a floating trout line.

Best fly line I have ever casted. Makes my small 7 foot 4 weight cast like a dream. I could not be more impressed with how well this line performs.
