I have some Lee and Hornady dies (for example) that work fine. Most are "standard" fit.
SIDE NOTE: Nothing to do with the press: I have discovered, first-hand, that a Lee shell holder does not fit my RCBS hand priming tool because of a bevel. I simply have to spend an extra $7 if I want to buy a Lee die and still use the hand tool. (NOT an issue if you use the built-in primer seater on the press itself)
Shotguns use a different kind of components and process.
You want to search using the term "SHOTSHELL PRESS" or "Shotshell reloader". Just as fun and rewarding as making cartridges! Check the next aisle in the reloading section of Bass Pro.
Hope this launches a fun experience!
The hard part is finding the die and components.
You will need a different set-up and press for "shotshell reloading" like a 12 gauge shotgun. It's a different process altogether.
anyone have any suggestions
Just keep an eye out and call your local shops frequently.
Now if you're willing to pay a salty HAZMAT shipping fee, you can usually find what you need online. anywhere. Anytime. But I'm too cheap to give in.
I would obviously get a reloading caliper & case trimmer if you're gonna spend the money to start rifle reloading.
And something to clean your brass, and one of those neat reloading thingies. And some other cool gadgets and gizmos. and something to put it on and in. and heck, maybe another gun to go with all that ammo....
