Rated 5 out of 5 by Better than Most In replacing a previous locater, I found the mount easy to install and fit to my new locater perfectly. I didn't even have to drill new holes. April 23, 2013
Rated 5 out of 5 by Perfect Fit I Purchased a Lowrance Elite 7 HDI for my new Tracker boat. The graph was too big to install where the smaller one was. The Ram Mounts Swing Arm Mount Made it easy to Install the new Graph and I can swing it to view from the front of the boat. This was one of my better purchases. April 23, 2013
Rated 5 out of 5 fit the bill the swing mount was just as illustrated and represented.is doing the job it was ment to.fit thlowrance finder as mentioned. April 9, 2013
Rated 5 out of 5 by Missing Parts/ Mounting Options Some of the washers were missing and the package was not sealed all the way but one quick call and they were shipped out pronto. Someone else also said the same thing about missing parts. One thing they dont mention is that the vertical mount can be attached to a pole or round bar because it is designed with a "V" in the back nice touch. Very solid mount works great. Great USA product! September 8, 2012

I have the same Fish finder i used those plastic straps to mount it to the top securely. The top of the mount doesnt have holes and the thing is made of steel and would take forever to drill holes in it. So a simple solution is to just use those straps once secured you can turn the fishfinder the other way and once mounted the fishfinder is adjustable ,you can turn it to your position.
Fits perfectly on my Porta/Bote

I don't think it would be that tough to remove. You could just unscrew the part of the mount that holds the fish finder from the part of the mount that is on the boat. When I say "unscrew" I mean just turn the knob that you would loosen to allow the fish finder to pivot on the base. Very simple to do and would take minutes.

It should mount up fine. The base plate has many pre-drilled holes. Can't guarantee all will line up but a drill will make short work of it.

A:
At the device mounting end of the mount is a rectangular 6.25" x 2" plate.
Dimensions:
A. Center of knob to center of ball socket: 6"
B. Overall length of swing arm assembly: 10.75"
C. Overall height: 5.6"
D. Height from base to top of knob: 4.91"

A:
You will probably have to drill a new set(4) of holes in your boat for the base, but on the top side there is dozens of holes in the mount for many styles/brands of units.

A:
No vibration properties built in to this mount but it will handle your 1197 with out worries. It is built VERY Stout. The knobs tighten to hold as you want it set even in rough water and the base can be removed very quickly for inside storage of your sonar.
