I purchased two of these rod holders for the purpose of trolling in mind , but also if your pre - occupied in the boat you can lock the rod in place in ram rod holder and not have to worry about losing your equipment over side of boat.
The value of this ram rod holder is well worth it ,and I would highly recommend this to other anglers. The only thing I would change is for Ram to offer this product made of metal like there other holders and I wouldnt mine the price difference between the platic and metal ball receiver mount , the rod holder itself is perfect.
I as of today have not broke the product yet just would prefer a metal mount like the fishfinders have they are metal and the last thing you don't want is a two thousand dollar graph going overboard or a 500$ rod and reel.

Very familiar with the company using many products for work. Parlayed them into my love 0f fishing and they work great. Durable and functional. Would recommend highly.
