I started in archery last year with my fathers old bow while I spent half a year researching bows to get one of my own before I ultimately decided that the best idea was to shoot as many bows as possible before making a final decision.
I went to the Manteca, CA store and asked the person in the department to help me he grabbed one and had me shoot it a few times to check my form and to see what my measurements were. I then went through shooting one of almost every brand they had available that was at this bows price or lower. The guy spent roughly 3 hours with me changing draw weight and draw lengths on multiple bows until i finally decided this was the bow I liked the best out of the bunch.
I chose this bow mostly because the draw cycle was the best of the bows I tried. Its smooth from start to finish there is no hump or hard spot. My bow is set at 66lbs and I have no issue with the draw but a friend of mine has a Bear Legion at 55lbs and I have difficulties getting it back cuz all the weight is on one spot in the cycle which i really didn't like. The grip set comfortably in my hand when some others didn't. It also came with an accessory package I wasn't going to immediately change out. Most other packages come with a whisker biscuit which I don't like, and my bow came with a trophy taker drop away when I bought it.
Only issue I had was that the model in the store didn't have a quiver on it and I didn't realise there was supposed to be one on it until I got home. So I emailed customer service and within the next week a quiver was sent to me free of charge, it was a very easy and painless process.
I have had the bow for about 4 months and i have put a little under a thousand shots through it and everything it still working great and I am wadding arrows at 25 yards which is the farthest i can shoot on a regular basis. About 500 shots in the peep sight started twisting so I couldn't see through it without messing with the string before every shot so i took it back to the store and was told that was normal and due to the string stretching and settling in. He straightened out for me and it hasn't had any problems since.
I definitely recommend this bow and I highly recommend trying out and actually shooting as many different bows as possible until you know what you are looking for because each one feels different, and different bows will fit each person differently.
