Quantum Snapshot Series Spinning Reel
The reel is good, but the trigger mechanism does not work, AT ALL, never once worked for me.

Not for the Avid Fisherman
If you are an occasional fisherman, the trigger system will perform well and may even last a few seasons. However, if you are a frequent angler who casts for hours, this reel (especially the trigger) just doesn't perform as it should over the long haul. Trigger mechanisms may crack, springs malfunction, or the trigger may not close entirely. In any event, you will likely be using the reel without the trigger at some point, having to manually flip the bail. If a trigger-style reel is a must, I have found the Shimano Syncopate (available at Bass Pro) to be the best on the market and lasts for more than one season.

Great concept, but………
As the headline suggests, they have an excellent concept, however, the actual “snapshot” is flawed. I am not sure if the company needs to use a heavier spring for the “snapshot” mechanism or what, but the “snapshot” breaks after 2-3 casts. Sometimes the “snapshot” can be fixed; other times not so much. The concept is great for a person like me (I can only use one arm), but the execution isn’t there.

Reel Size 10
I have used this for 3 years and have upgraded the pole that it is on twice from a 30 year old Diawa to a Cherry Wood ultra lite. Cast is smooth and retrieve is just as smooth I will pick up another soon. If it brakes tomorrow it owes me nothing as I expected it to be worn out but with oil and good storage it shows no real sign of ware. Used it to troll last week and landed thirty Walleye,Crappie and Channel Cats in a near by lake. I have 15 poles and this one is my first to pick up.
