I am looking for a new rod for the kvd signiture series baitcasting reel. I saw this one, but read it was heavy. I was wondering if this rod is really worth the money.

I would use it for all types of cranking.I was looking at pairing it with the Signature Series KVD reel, but that has gotten terrible reviews. Thanks a lot.

I love the Abu Garcia Revo reels with these rods. These reels are light and cast great. They are low profie which fits my left hand great.

I have the original Carbonlite rod and reel and for the money you can't beat the reel. I pick it up just as often as my revos.

THAT WOULD BE AN EXCELLENT COMBINATION FOR DEEP CRANKING...THE ROD IS TOP NOTCH AND A 5 TO 1 RATIO REEL WILL WORK A DEEP CRANK PROPERLY

IN MY OPINION ...THE ONLY DIFFERENCE IS THAT THEY LIMIT THE SIGNATURE SERIES TO THE TWO SIZES.WHERE AS THE TOUR SERIES HAS SEVERAL DIFFERENT SIZES AND ACTIONS.

IMO,There is no difference,WHATSOEVER! Except for you are limited on the sizes that are available. I have both & spent a day fishin both rods, 7ft M (Sig Series), & 7ft MH with my (Tour KVD), same line sizes & crankbaits! NO BLOWIN SMOKE, if I hadnt looked down before swapping out, I wouldnt have known the difference!! I got GREAT CASTING DISTANCES, SAME SENSITIVITY (as the Tour KVD), & the SAME STRENGTH as the MH! I personally will be buying another instead of another Tour KVD I've been savin for! Good Fishing,Hope this helps you.
