WHAT A LIGHT ROD,I ORDERED ANOTHER ONE.I GOT THE HEAVY ACTION UP TO 25LB BRAID GOOD FOR WEEDS N FROGS.GOT THE KVD BAITCAST REEL MAKES AN AWSOME COMBO FOR UNDER 200$,USING 30LB POWER PRO BRAIDED LINE ON THEM.

This rod is awesome. It is a perfect match for my KVD signature 7 to 1 reel. It is extremely light and the action and feel is next to none. I can feel every turn of my spinnerbait blade. It is the best rod I have ever used.

I purchased 2 of the KVD 6' 4" ML casting rods for Smallmouth small crank/jerk bait fishing. I use the rods with braided line. For the price these rods are an excellent value. They do lack in sensitivity compared to more expensive rods which is to be expected. However, they represent excellent value and are a great Smallmouth rod that lets you enjoy the fight of the fish. I'm glad I bought 2 and if one broke I would surely replace it at this price. It is a nice casting rod sized down for Smallmouth sized lures.

KVD doesn't use these rods, they just have his name on them. You're looking for his Tour KVD Crankin Rod: http://www.basspro.com/Quantum-Tour-Kevin-VanDam-Crankin-Rods/product/104156/-1554487. Completely different rod with a very different price.A:Â
I BELIEVE THAT THESE ARE THE SAME ACTIONS AND MATERIALS AS THE TOUR RODS THAT KVD USES , THEY JUST LIMIT THE SIGNATURE SERIES TO THE TWO SIZES , AND THEY COST HALF AS MUCH.THAT WAY IF A PERSON WANTED THE 7 11 LAUNCHER THEY WOULD HAVE TO PAY THE 149.991 of 1
