I own a few Quantum reels (spinning) and wanted the right lube for the brand. Good stuff works great,
but at $10,- for a couple ounces of oil it is costly.

I like to put this on the worm gear of my baitcasting reels, action is super smooth when retrieving baits, I will apply this to the worm gear during the tournament season before each tournament and clean the entire reel at the end of the season and use the Quantum Hot Sauce Reel Grease on the internal gears, this stuff works great

I have used this oil and also the grease on many fishing reels. It is so good I bought extra and now when something around the shop or house needs oil or grease I use this on it. Best stuff I ever saw. Well worth the price!!!!!

I use the grease on the gears and the oil on everything else that moves. Use it spareingly,it only takes a very little bit to improve smothness of reels.this is so good I use it in the shop and around the house on just about everything!!!

Grease goes on your drive gear and clutch gear. The oil goes on your bearings and worm gear. I suggest soaking your bearings in acetone or goof off (lighter fluid) to remove any existing oil/grease that is on them. This way you don't have a higher viscosity lubricant hindering the performance of this lower viscosity oil.A:Â
use them both, the oil should be reserved for your bearings and the grease should be applied to the gears, but not too much no need to gunk it up..a little hot sauce goes a long way

You can put the oil on each end of the spool's axle, on the bearings and on anything that moves that looks like it would need lubricating EXCEPT the drag washers and put the grease on the worm gear that moves line guide and on the main gears "IF" you want to go that far, but use only a drop or two of the oil, because you can "overlube" it.

hot sauce oil is better for bearing surfaces and spool shafts and the grease is better for gears and clutches.

On level wind guide and shield. On all bearings. On clutch/Pinion slide release. Handle pins. Metal to metal parts

put it on your spool bearings and worm gear. I soak my bearings in a solvent such as acetone or Goof Off (lighter fluid) for a few hours then allow them to air dry before applying Hot Sauce. This removes any factory oil/grease which is most likely going to have a higher viscosity than Hot Sauce, defeating the purpose of using it. Apply a couple drops of Hot Sauce on your bearing rings, but don't put too much.
