I went to Bass Pro Shop and purchased the 1x40 model to put on my Marlin .22. They mounted it and bore-sighted it for me. The dots were bright outdoors and indoors. I did not notice much difference in thebrightness of the dots when adjusted. After 6 rounds I was zeroed in and had quarter size shot groups at 75 yds. All in all I think it is a good product for the price.

I bought a pursuit X1 40 mm and to me it seems bright enough. I bought it for the option to use a blue light. What can I say I'm a sucker for blue!
The only problem I see with it is that there is no noticeable change in strength or brightness of the light when you switch between the different selections.
The design itself seems rugged enough though.
If someone doesn't like the strength of the light in the scope, I'd suggest writing the manufacturer to get a replacement. This is a cheaper scope, and it does switch between three different colors, so it may not have the same precision you would expect from a one color scope with many brightness options.

It mounted perfect, it only took 4 clicks sighting it in. It is dead on after 5,400 rounds.

Agree with the other reviews. This is a complete waste of money. The dot is so dim you can't even see it at the range. Used brand new batteries and no improvement. You can hardly see the dot inside. If there is any glare outside you can't see it at all.
