PUNISHMENT FOR WHOM?
I was greatly disappointed by the claims that "this jig will come through the heaviest cover." The 3/8oz black-blue I bought repeatedly hung up in average size shoreline rocks and snagged in mostly bear laydowns. The problem I see is that the head and eye are too vertical so the head bumps into whatever it contacts instead of sliding over.
While it is nicely hand-tied and has a strong "Gama" 3/0 hook (2/0 for 1/4oz) with ample synthetic hair, the "V" shaped guard is a little too soft and the paint chipped after a few casts. My experience shows this jig punishes the fisherman more than the fish.

Great for largemouth
My grandpa who taught me how to fish and got me hooked on the sport of bass fishing always used hair jigs so I looked every where and didn't find anything close to his old jigs and then I found these and have ordered at least 5-10 of each color. I just wish they made 1/2-3/4-1 once instead of just the 3/8 and lower. Also a black with an orange strip on the back would be great. Besides that they are awesome and I have caught tons of fish and one of these are always tied on the end of one of my lines. Great purchase and I will be getting more.

best hair jig I have found
I have found hair jigs to out perform other bass jigs and they are hard to find.

The hair jigs have good action and are easy to use. I bought a few different color patterns to try out on the local lakes. The 1/8oz size has a lot of action and doesn't get hung up as much as the larger sizes.
I like the black/red color pattern best. I attach trailer hooks to all of my jigs, and also tip the jigs with a trailer soft bait (usually use an old worm tail, plastic frog, or pork frog).
I also like that they are reasonably priced.
