Must have! Dont waste time and money trying to save a little cash Spend the money and get a Dual Pro. This is the most reliable and best quality charger on the market. Mine finally gave out and I had to have one in a hurry so I bought the pro mariner because they didnt have one at BPS in Orlando It took one night for the Pro Mariner to blow up just as the other people reviews had said but I had a tournament that weekend. Dual Pro 3 bank S E on board charger This is my second dual pro charger. The first one I had for 12 years. Ichanged it from one boat to another when I traded boats. One bank stoped working so I put the charger in my flatbottom and bought a new Dual Pro 3 bank at Basspro and put in my bass boat. July 20, 2006

Per the manufacturer's FAQ:

Q: I have a 24 volt trolling motor and my two deep cycle trolling batteries are wired in series. Do I have to remove the jumper wire between the batteries when I charge the batteries with my Dual Pro Charger?

A: No, there is no need to remove the series jumper because the Dual Pro consists of two totally independent chargers which share nothing in common. This allows for both batteries to independently but simultaneously charged.

A:
It has a standard 120V male plug like a home outlet so you would need to plug into a standard home 120V outlet. If your boat is hot with 120V then use an on board outlet.
