Princeton Tec Vizz LED Headlamp
Only worked for one camping trip
I bought this headlamp after much thought and it was a big decision for me to spend the $$ on this headlamp. I brought it camping right away for the most part it worked OK. After that I used it around the house and kept having issues turning it on. It wouldn't even turn on with a fresh set of batteries. It appears that the button failed on me. After looking online I've found a few more people that had similar issues. I'm very upset with this light. I have friends that have cheap lights they've had for years that still work fine for them. I'm hoping Bass Pro will refund me for the light.
The light was very bright when it did work.

Worth the money
I misplaced mine and am trying to get to my local Bass Pro to get another - it is that good. The high beam is great for night fishing. Battery life is excellent. A bulk pack of AAAs will last you a long time. relattively inexpensive and readily available
. The switching is a bit complicated and I tend to put it on "Lock" - keep the instructions handy until you get it down pat. Headband is comfortable. Definitely worth the money to buy and to operate.

Just bought the Vizz, spoke with guys at Princeton Tec and they guided me to this product based on my use... its rare to find American made products, which is awesome! Equally important, the guys at Princeton Tec were friendly and knowledgeable. I have not put it to field use yet, but based on the feel of product... it seems easy to use and durable for the long haul! Only disadvantage would be that it's a bit bulky compared to other models (P-tec or otherwise) but you can't have it all for such a nominal price... this is the best balance between weight, performance and price.. in my opinion, its the best bang for the buck!
