Smaller and lighter than its siblings, the Princeton Tec® Byte LED Headlamp packs a powerful punch, thanks to a Maxbright LED that delivers a light beam up to 30 meters on high setting. To ensure your night vision is never compromised, the Byte relies on a red Ultrabright LED. The water resistant Byte is equipped with an asymmetrical single-arm bracket, easily accessible battery door enclosure, and a large push-button switch. Yet, all of this weighs in at a mere 64 grams. On medium setting the batteries are suppose to last for 90 some hours. I haven't used it that much yet, but on that setting it puts out a nice spot light. It is focused in a small area but it's near daylight. Love it!!!

The lamp is well worth the price, its very compact and light. The one LED bulb is powerful and has great battery life even on low. The red mode is great for use when around other people so you don't blind them when you look at them.

White lights were fairly bright, espcially considering it only uses 2 AAA batteries. Small, lightweight, that is all good.
Red LED is totally useless. You MAY be able to use it in a tent for finding your boots. But forget using it to walk with at night.
Did not get a chance to test the switch button in cold weather or rain.
I returned it, and hopefully get a store credit soon for a different headlight.

This product is great. Light is very bright. The light has 3 settings, red/dim/bright. The thing I love the most besides the light being great is that the strap is very comfortable (even for my huge head). Some head lamps I've owned don't adjust enough for my big melon but this one does. Great buy for the price.
