One of the most realistic box calls on the market, and it can get wet... This baby can call in the gobblers from long distance. Amazing quality, with or without chalk!

I've never chalked mine, but I did notice over time it did seem to fade like a regular call that needed chalked, but what I found out is that if I wet my finger and run it across the call surface to moisten it a little, the call comes back to life.A:Â
it doesnt need chalk did it sound good when ya first got it mine did then it bit the dust fast it is a bad call thats why its dont sound rightTop 500 Contributor

This call does not need chalk, It might sound a little high pitched, but from farther away, It sounds just like a hen.A:Â
Even if it's supposed to work when wet, I'd still try to always keep it dry and well chalked. That's just my opinionTop 1000 Contributor

My understanding is the Primos Wet Box should never be chalked. It's friction surfaces are some kind of waterproof stuff that chalk can actually gunk up if the chalk gets wet. I do know my Wet Box has a higher pitch than my other box calls, but it still sounds good to my ears.A:Â
Yes You do need to put chalk on it but not to much and when u do add a little water thats what i did makes it sound better an louder over time.1 of 1
