Rated 4.3 out of 5 by 225 reviewers.
Rated 5 out of 5 by GroundhogHunter Anyone home? I needed a camera that would be sensitive to small creatures and cheap so I could put many out in an area at one time. It does not make sense to just guess as to if there are hogs living in these holes. This camera worked as hoped. April 28, 2013
Rated 4 out of 5 by Jamber Great product This item is easy to use, takes great pictures and I did not have to change batteries the entire previous deer season. April 4, 2013
Rated 5 out of 5 great cameras Ive had four different types of cameras cudde back bushnell primos and wild game the primos are by far the best ones ive owned ive sold the other three brands a half price beacuse they were just taking up space in my hunting storage by far the best camera in my oppinion March 13, 2013
Rated 5 out of 5 by Stratos201 Very god trail camera for the money I previously owned two of these Truth cam 35 trail cameras, but both were stolen late in this past deer season by some low-life individual (watch out folks, I’ve since learned that trail camera theft is a huge problem in lots of areas. It’s an easy item to grab and be gone with, and then they turn a quick profit on eBay or at pawn shops). I recently purchased two new Truth cam 35s to replace my stolen ones. I went ahead and replaced them quickly because I’m pretty sure Primos will soon be phasing out this aging model and I’ve heard the updated model (the ultra) doesn’t perform nearly as well. I’m giving these cameras a five star rating based on their good performance for their relatively low cost. These are excellent cameras for the money. Daytime photos are excellent. Nighttime photos are decent at close range but images quickly fade out beyond about 30 ft. I usually use these cameras to monitor a fairly small area like mini food plots or active trails. The trigger speed is good and the battery life is excellent. One set of D Duracells lasted for two seasons (with about 30% left) on one of my cameras, after taking thousands of photos. This is a very easy to use camera. The switches are very simple. I even gave one to my technically challenged 79 year old dad for Christmas, and he did not have any problems learning to use the camera. I think they are great cameras and I will probably buy one or two more of them before they stop making this model. Oh, and from now on every trail camera I put in the woods will be camouflaged and hidden. I do believe I’m smart enough to outsmart a common thief. February 8, 2013

A:
4 D cell batteries could probably last up to 3 months or so. Had out for a week and a half at 20 deg, and still at 99%. if you buy one make sure it says +200% battery life then you know you got the updated one! has 35 infrared LED so it is a red flash, won't spook deer.

The batteries will last for at least 100,000 pictures, the IR flash is barley visible, you have to be looking for it to see it.

A:
A good set of duracell batteries usually lasts 3 to 4 months depending on the temp. It does have a red glow at night when it takes a picture but it does not spook deer.

Yes it does switch automatically. The sensor determines if it needs the infrared by the amount of available natural light.

There are toggle switches that slide to pick your desired settings. Could not be any easier. You can set the times you wish to view the area.

I noticed a clicking noise only once. It only happened when it was changing from night to day pictures. It was faint but noticeable at 10 feet. I tested and figured out it was a change in the lens shutter in my camera. I have yet to see that it causes any issues with the 4 Primos Truth Cam 35 I have.

It makes a slight clicking noise, but that has not been a problem for me. It has taken thousands of pictures for me during 14 months without chasing off any game. See a couple of my pictures below.

It clicks a little but so do woodpeckers and they dont bother deer. I have gotten tons of pics with this camera and a lot of them are the same deer(s) coming back over and over so it doesnt bother them. If anything , it makes them look at the camera so you get a good look at their rack!!

This camera is ridiculously easy to set up compared to other ones i own. All the settings have there own switch, so you don't have to go through a big sequence to set it. If you want it on video or picture, you just move the switch. if you want it to take 3 or 5 or 9 pics...you just slide the switch top that number. My other camera takeS like ten minutes to set the first time, and if i screw up half way through, i have to start over. I can literally set this TRUTH camera in less 30 SECONDS!

Camera is very simple to set up. Only options are pic or video. The how many pic at a time 1-3-5 and how many minutes between pics. Set on normal range and turn it on. That easy.

Im pretty sure it only takes one or the other. There is a switch you slide up and down the top is off, middle picture, bottom video. I would guess that your selection will only record that choice. Have not really tried the video yet maybe if I start to get more than does.

Camera only takes either Phot0s, or Video. Only one setting can be selected.
In photo mode you can select 1 or 3 shot mode, you can also have 3 delay settings to select from.
Video, only has the delay settings after each use to change.

Runkeldc,

Unfortunately, this camera does not take still pictures when set to video mode. It's still a great camera. I have two of them and they both work very well. I usually keep mine set for pictures, but every once in a while I will switch it over to video for a couple days to see what I find. Hope this helps.

I have had nothing but trouble from my truth 35's. I would try to get my money back and buy a little better product. It is hunting time and you do not need a product that does not work. Good luck

justbec,

Check the memory size of your SD card. If it is more than 8GB, you may get an error message like that. This cam only supports up to 8GB. Also, check the little tiny switch on either the top or side of your SD card. If it is in the "lock" position, the card will not format. Flip the switch, reformat the card and see if that works. Hope this helps.
