i would normally endorse any primos call. i own a lot of primo calls and bought this one because of the name. this thing sounds like a duck if you dont blow into it hard enough and when you do blow into it real hard it sounds nothing close to an owl, its way too high pitched. not to mention it froze on me and wouldnt work in 30 degree weather.

This is by FAR the worst purchase of a call I have ever made. Most of my primos calls are top notch, but this is a definite flop. It takes a tremendous amount of pressure to keep it from sounding like a sick duck, and then it sounds nothing like any owl I have ever heard in the woods. The volume is also very poor. Do yourself a favor and do not waste your money on this call.

After reading other reviews, I thought this might be a decent call, but was sadly mistaken. I'm a pretty fair ornithologist, but can't make this thing sound like any owl I've ever heard. The amount of breath required so that it doesn't produce the "duck" sound is far too high. I'll chalk this up as a learning experience and stop trying to buy an owl call until I personally hear someone use one that sounds good.

this really is not a bad call, it does what its advertised to do but just lacks that little extra. i wouldnt tell anyone not to buy this but im gonna buy the power owl before season...time to give this one to my son to learn with
