Rated 5 out of 5Â by FishingJimmy Super Slick 8
Super Slick 8 casts much farther than power pro in the same weight and took a little getting used to. A few trees can attest to that. Once I got used to the extra distance it was great. Less wear on the guides. Less noise.

Rated 5 out of 5Â by jammer14 best braid i have used
I have been using braid for 10+ years and they have come a longway and i have to say this is to date the best braid for the money i have every used. I have the 30lb test and its only 00.8 dia. Its very quit and casts a longway. I use it for Bass and Pike in heavy cover and the thing i have found is it does not fray as fast as other braids and for the money you cant go wrong.

Rated 4 out of 5Â by FlatsWalker Slick 8 to the TEST!
I have only used the SLICK 8 twice since purchase. So far so good. The braid lays well on the spool and casts extremely well producing closer target casts and longer distance. Control appears easier as well. I have not experienced the normal braid wind knots.
I will know more after further use and as the product ages. I will know more in the next 7 - 10 days as it will be put to the test daily.

i have used this brand of braid for many years and it has always met my expectations. performs well with spinning or casting reels at all weights. Have never had any reason to change.

How does the color last. Does it fade quickly? Timber or GreenAnswers

A:Â
The color is already extremely light out of the package, making it highly visible to fish. In other words, it's hard to tell whether it's fading because it's already so light to begin with...Top 500 Contributor

I have used this and found that it will fade some but that didn't impact the strength or fish ability of the line. There are much worse lines out there for fading. The Timber is still Timber and Aqua Green is light to start...........enjoy!!!!Top 1000 Contributor

I have been using Green. It is not the same as the normal Power Pro. It's a bit lighter. The color does fade a little bit, but not much in the past year. I have been fishing this line 3 times a week minimum for a year, so I fish it hard. I have noticed that the braid is starting to lose some of it's finish and it's not as smooth anymore.Answers

Braid is notorious for digging into itself on the reel; almost like Velcro touching Velcro. This braid is coated with stuff that is supposed to prevent that from happening, making it easier for the line to fly off the reel when casting.A:Â
Slicker. Has more strands and they are smaller so there is less resistance going thru the rod guides. Cuts thru the water with less noise than the same size old Power Pro. Casts alot farther.A:Â
After testing, Slick 8 apears to cast easier. There is less drag off the spool and in the air. Target casting is improved and also distance is increased. I have not experienced the wind knots like with the previous Power Pro design.A:Â
The main difference is the smothness and strongnessA:Â
its alot smoother line and stronger!Top 25 Contributor

The old powerpro uses 4 strands braided together and felt pretty rough through the eyes. This new Powerpro super slick uses 8 strands braided together and is much smoother on the cast or retrieve. The 8 strands also keep the line rounder, so It doesn't dig into itself as easily.A:Â
smoother and better flow of the reel..1 of 1
