I've used many brands of braid, and this stuff ranks in the top 3. It has a very smooth surface, supple, but with enough body to keep it from being too limp. Some braids tend to loose some of that body over time, but so far this stuff is holding up well.

I'm always looking for a better handling line for my small ultra light and light spinning reels. I tried the 15# x 4# size on my new Pfluger Partiarch 9525 and it worked great. These small reels will really twist a line and I found that the PowerPro resisted line twist better than anything I've tried. It's super strong and casts well. However I didn't find that it casts any better than the 6# fluorocarbon I was using. I went with the 4# size hoping for more casting distance but found it was about the same.
I can't wait to spool up my baitcaster with this stuff......If it works on my little reels it should be fantastic on bigger reels.
I chose the brown and love the color for my local lake as it tends toward stained most of the time and the brown worked great. However the color does fade and I found a black marker here and there makes nice camo.

How does the color last. Does it fade quickly? Timber or GreenAnswers

I have been using Green. It is not the same as the normal Power Pro. It's a bit lighter. The color does fade a little bit, but not much in the past year. I have been fishing this line 3 times a week minimum for a year, so I fish it hard. I have noticed that the braid is starting to lose some of it's finish and it's not as smooth anymore.Answers

After testing, Slick 8 apears to cast easier. There is less drag off the spool and in the air. Target casting is improved and also distance is increased. I have not experienced the wind knots like with the previous Power Pro design.A:Â
The main difference is the smothness and strongnessA:Â
its alot smoother line and stronger!Top 25 Contributor

The old powerpro uses 4 strands braided together and felt pretty rough through the eyes. This new Powerpro super slick uses 8 strands braided together and is much smoother on the cast or retrieve. The 8 strands also keep the line rounder, so It doesn't dig into itself as easily.A:Â
smoother and better flow of the reel..1 of 1
