I bought this product on the recommendation of a BPS employee who is also a fishing guide. My only previous experience with braid was with SpiderWire Stealth Braid, and although I'd had good results with that product, I just wanted to try something different. My only dissapointment with the Stealth Braid was that the color of the line faded rather quickly. Well, the PowerPro faded much quicker, although it was much lighter in color to begin with, so I think this is just one of the downsides of any braided line. The Super Slick version definitely has a different feel than non-slick Stealth Braid, which is much softer and frays more easily than the Super Slick. Thus, I think I will stick with this braid for use in flipping heavy cover, and use softer braids for topwater lures.

I read a lot of reviews about this product after I had already purchased it. Some of the reviews scared me because there was talk of spurs in the line and things like this. I have had no issues. The first day of use I was amazed with how far I could cast fishing wacky with no weights. This is definitely my new go to line.

I´ve purchased this braid line Power Pro Slick and its really very good . I¨m from Argentina and have been testing diferent lines , and definitively this is the best for baitcat and spinning . The only problem is that losses its colour if you choose High viss yellow . Very smoothly and strong.

How does the color last. Does it fade quickly? Timber or GreenAnswers

I have been using Green. It is not the same as the normal Power Pro. It's a bit lighter. The color does fade a little bit, but not much in the past year. I have been fishing this line 3 times a week minimum for a year, so I fish it hard. I have noticed that the braid is starting to lose some of it's finish and it's not as smooth anymore.Answers

After testing, Slick 8 apears to cast easier. There is less drag off the spool and in the air. Target casting is improved and also distance is increased. I have not experienced the wind knots like with the previous Power Pro design.A:Â

The old powerpro uses 4 strands braided together and felt pretty rough through the eyes. This new Powerpro super slick uses 8 strands braided together and is much smoother on the cast or retrieve. The 8 strands also keep the line rounder, so It doesn't dig into itself as easily.A:Â
smoother and better flow of the reel..1 of 1
