Rated 4.5 out of 5 by 26 reviewers.
Rated 5 out of 5 by Happy with PowerPro Braid Been using this line in salt and fresh water for a while now in mostly 30 lb test and am very pleased with it. Casts extremely well, very durable. August 30, 2013
Rated 4 out of 5 by Great line This braid is very strong and is very castable. I may try the new super slick next time for heavier line applications. August 21, 2013
Rated 4 out of 5 by Good Strong Braid For those of you who only use mono, the improvement in detecting strikes vs weed fouling and in hook setting when using the braids has to be experienced to be fully appreciated. The down side is that the first generation braids are draggy in the guides, which shortens casts, and the braid throws off horrible tangles (wind knots) on spinning reels. The regular Power Pro is good stuff and better than the first generation braids. If you are using spinning reels, the Power Pro Slick 8 which is a rounder smoother braid mostly avoids these problems even better than the regular Power Pro. It casts better. You still get a few wind knots, even fewer with the reels with oscilations designed to reduce wind knots, like the $80 and up Shimanos. Just returned from a 2 day fishing trip to the Chandeluer Islands, caught everything from Whiting and Trout to Bull Reds, a 7' shark and a 6 foot Stingray, I took 4 rods, two with 12 lb mono, two with 20 lb. Power Pro Slick 8. I will keep the mono on the old reels for my wife to cork fish with, The new reels will be Power Pro Slick 8. The benefits of feel, hook setting, and twice as strong line easily outweigh the occasional wind knot problems August 12, 2013
Rated 5 out of 5 by excellant braided line The best line I ever used no problem with line breaking when you get hooked on under water roots or any other type of snags June 18, 2013

A:
If I read right that reel holds 575yds of 30lb mono. You could run braid 80lbs or above but keep in mind the bigger the the less you have. So if you after big tigers your going to be pushing it but you might do ok with fish 300lbs and less on that set up. Make sure you use a good strong leader and good luck!
