The Best Works great, I bought another for my boat. I use one on each end of my boat for live well and bait well. Keeps bait and catch lively even in hot weather. Very lively fish for weigh-ins in crappie tournaments. I got the first one 5 years ago and still going strong. January 19, 2008
Power Bubbles This is a great bubbler, with two huge stones, I use it to keep Two 5-gallon buckets of mud minnows alive. Not only does it pump out tons of air, I ran it for a 6 days in a row without ever charging my battery. This is my second one, the first wore out after about 4 or 5 years, and i did not hesitate to get the same one again. The new one comes with a much better air hose than the old one used to. Deffinitly a five star product. July 1, 2007
Great Aerator! Finally I have an aerator that puts out enough air and doesn't need separate batteries. I have hard wired the unit in my boat to use my trolling motor battery. I can keep two buckets of minnows alive all day. It comes with two large air stones which is a big plus. I bought a second unit to mount in my truck to keep the minnows alive on the way to the lake. Now I can buy minnows anywhere along the way instead of hunting for them around the lake. July 8, 2006

Just a guess but I'd say it depends how often you run it. My experience I'd bet it would do 50 gallons easy with only one of the bubble stones if you were running it continuously. 20gal on one of of those 30sec/5min livewell timers should be more than fine. It works great.

Lake water is fine. If your water is in the 90's, it wouldn't hurt to put ice in to slow their metabolism. Just watch out for ice with chlorine in it!

There may be two theories to this. Lake water will work fine with this areator. This is really meant to be used with a bait tank (a lot of individuals will use them in conjunction with a 5 gallon bucket for minnows or crawfish). If you are using this to create a large livewell for your catch, you may want to look at larger air sources. Also, colder wtaer does tend to carry more dissolved oxygen than warmer water, so the use of ice in conjuction should help in improving oxygen levels. Just be sure not to use so much that you stun your bait or catch.
