Plano's patented Pillar Lock system utilizes posts built into the top and bottom and on each end of Pillar Lock gun and bow cases. As the case closes, specially designed ends on the pillars lock together. When locked, the pillars give the case tremendous strength to make it virtually impossible to crush.

Sturdy enough but a bit flimsy. Decent case for the money. Note that this case will hold your bolt action hunting rifle with a scope but it will not accommodate an AR-style rifle.

Do you mean by weight or strength it's not heavy nor is it built very strong but just right to carry your rifle in to go to the range or hunting
