Plano® Pro-Max™ PillarLock® Gun Cases provide the ultimate in firearms protection! These crush-resistant gun cases feature the patented PillarLock system, which uses molded contact points that meet when the case is closed to form "pillars" for superior crush resistance. Cases feature thick walled construction, soft foam, and ergonomic, molded in handles. Heavy-duty latches and padlock tabs keep guns safe and secure in the case. Airline approved. Made in USA.
I'm pleased with my purchase. It does what I wanted it to do and was reasonably priced. I'd highly recommend it to anyone looking for a case for an O/U shotgun.
I shoot Sporting Clays once or twice a week. I have every confidence that this case will provide years of reliable service, as have other Plano products I've used over the years, like tackle boxes.

Ok for the money
This cleaning kit was supposedly made for .22 cal rifles, however, getting the provided swab and patch attachments into a .22 cal barrel are impossible.

Not a good airline case
I'm giving it a lower rating because on a recent trip with SW Airlines I arrived in NY with all but 2 clips missing. Fortunately nothing was damaged. After the return trip and check-in, I tie-wrapped the remaining clasps. I wound up with 1 more missing. I know the airlines are tough, but if you travel look at a Pelican case and spend the money. I received one for Christmas, and the case is definitely superior.

First off, I just want to say for the price that I payed in store(less then $35 dollars) it is well worth it. I use this gun case to transport and protect my mosin nagant 91/30. The gun is 48-49 inches long and weights 8-10 pounds easy. This gun case by plano comes in many different sizes and shapes. The gun case i got is 53.25 inchs long, 3.5 inchs deep, 9.25 inch wide, so for the mosin nagant it is perfect. The mosin nagant is stock right now and fits fine, now if you got the ati/ monte carlo kit for your gun, it would fit as well if not better. I also found this case to be helpfull when transporting other weapons such as shot guns and even a bow with several arrows. The case looks some what flimsy, but when handled it preforms well. So if your looking for a gun case that is priced low, but built strong enough for storage and transporting, then this is for you.

While you may find that the length dimension works, it may be the height that is the problem (only with a rifle with a large scope). While the pillar design adds structural stability to the case itself, it reduces the inside height dimension. You want your rifle and scope to "float free" in the padding, and not be in contact with the structure of the case (or pillars) to directly absorbe any shock.
