Old Faithful What can I say about these that you don't already know? THE GOOD: Plan makes quality, inexpensive storage solutions for the weekend warrior. They can be used for everything - sinkers to crankbaits. This one in particular like like a remake of the brown one I had as a kid that my father gave me. THE BAD: If you decide to get one without some sort of latch - things like sinkers can pop the cover open if the unit is stored on it's side. THE VERDICT: These are great units. I prefer to purchase ones with latches though, since at any given time any number of boxes might get thrown in a backpack. Great product, great price. July 29, 2013
Great For Small Storage This is an excellent litte box to carry small in-line lures or crankbaits. It fits easily into a vest pocket or your pants pocket and is great if you only need to have a limited amount of tackle with you. Its well made and priced very reasonably. December 3, 2007
Generally Solid Boxes. This is specifically for the 3449-5 box. I own other Plano boxes in various sizes and haven't had a major issue with them. The problem with the 3449-5 is that the lid tends to warp. It warps enough that the latch can't keep the lid closed, which is a big problem since I carry the box (along with three others of different sizes) in the pocket of a fishing vest. I fixed the problem with the aid of a large rubber band, but that becomes a bit inconvenient, especially when I happen to lose the rubber band while walking the banks of the local pond or river. Considering the relatively low price and the fact that the box is still usable with the aid of a rubber band, this complaint is rather minor. Still, I would recommend purchasing one of the smaller or larger boxes if you can. They don't appear to exhibit the same type of warping; at least not to the same extent. March 15, 2008
Very handy item. Right now my part of Florida is in a severe drought. The water level in many of my favorite lakes is so low that I cannot launch my boat. So, I have started walking the retention ponds and small farm ponds that still have water. I have to travel light; only taking what I can carry in my pockets. The StowAway box allows me to carry six hard body lures safely in my shirt pocket and selected soft baits in my pants. This keeps me tuned up until we get rain(soon I pray). May 15, 2012

Well I don't have it sitting right in front of me so I can only guess. I would say it is about a foot long. Good sized box. It would go in a bigger size tackle bag.
