Okay I bought this product on April 18,2014. It was a good case. But they need to make some modifications to it to serve as a great case. First of all the inside tube that holds the rod is too long. It should be cut down 2" so that you can fit a 7' rod with the big ring guides. Also if it was cut down 2" it can hold the reel still connected to the rod. If not you have to disconnect the reel from the rod or the rod handle will stick out of the case. Secondly the zipper is made too cheap and it broke after a week of owning the product. Plus it doesn't zip closed all the way because they have a little loop ring on the end that sticks out the case. They need to get rid of that so that it can shut all the way so nothing can fall out or nothing can get in. If they made changes to this product it would be a great case to have. If they don't then I would never buy this case ever again. I need to return it because of the broken zipper but I live 100 miles away from bass pro and would be a little drive there.

Rated 4 out of 5 by aaonion Great for ultralights
The tag on the rod tube says it's "designed to hold ultra light rod and reel." A normal sized spinning rod and reel barely fits and only if you fold the handle over. The description says ultralight construction, it should say designed for ultralights. Other than this it's a great product.

I use this for my G-Loomis 2-piece 6'6" trout rod. I can break down the pole, leave the reel attached to the rod and place it inside the tube nicely.
The tube itself has a hard shell, so it is very resistant to damage during transport or accidents.
The only draw back to this tube is that I think it should be a little wider in diameter. Some spinning rods have a large guide eye at the bottom that can stick out quite a bit. My rod fits in this tube and the line guide at the bottom rubs against the other side of the tube. This leaves no room to spare and I have to be careful not to bend it when placing it in the tube and removing it.
