If you carry rods on a train or plane, it the best way to secure your rods.
Some are called rod safes and that's exactly what it does. Keep your rods safe. In face i am in the need for a new one and this is very simular.

They're only 3" in diameter, so no. At most you'll fit 2 rods comfortably, without bending your guides.
