I bought this bag a couple of months before I took my yearly trip to the north woods of Minnesota, replacing my big Plano 6 tray box, and was glad I did. All I added was a spinner-bait box, which fit perfectly in the front pocket. Everything from the 6-tray transferred nicely to the bag, including two bait casters and an open faced spinning reel. The fit and finish was great, and for once I didn't have to cover the trays with cardboard to prevent spillage from the airline baggage handlers. I never used a tackle bag before but now I don't think I can go back. What a great system!

When I boought this bag it was on sale for $50. After wanting it for weeks but not wanting t pay $60 to replace my backpack, I saw it on sale and picked it up. After one week the part the strap clips onto ripped off! Sewed it back up with braid. Presto-fixed.....Next week....the clip on the strap snapped. So apparently if you use all 4 boxes to hold lures and tackle(20-25lbs)
the strap might break at a very bad time like mine did twice....just buy the boxes and use your old pack

Very nice tackle bag. Thje one issue is that the velcro strips dont match up. One on bag is side to side and one on flap goes top to bottom and they dont meet. Think the one on bag was sewn on in the wrong spot.

Very well made and designed. Considering this bag comes with 4 stow away boxes, it's a steal at this price. It holds a ton, has a rubberized bottom to protect the bag from water, has plenty of extra pockets for pliers, stringers, etc.
Very happy with it.

it is just an open pocket. BY structured they mean the top part isnt soft fabric it is stiff and retains its shape1 of 1
