Sometimes I think that measuring sticks were designed for measuring DEAD fish! The fish slide off too easily. NOT THIS Stick! The Plano designers got it right. The board is concave and cradles the fish so you can measure easily. The only thing I would change is to make the ruler makings black so they're easier to read. I used a sharpee to do that for mine to make it perfect. Fishing a tourney based on measurements? THIS is the bump board you want!

This board is very sturdy and lightweight. A great feature is that the board expands from 18 to 36 inches. It is easier to keep the board in the boat ready to use in the 18 inch length size. My husband caught his first muskie and used the full length of the board to measure it. The fish was 36 and 1/2 inches long!

well built, light weight, and easy to clean,this product worked better than expected. it lays flat and makes measuring fish fast and easy.lays flat in my boat compartments.

don't fish much competitively so i don't usually carry a bump board. anything in my kayak that gets in the way is a hindrance. being able to slide this down to a smaller size makes it handy for the yak and for those few times when i compete. took a marker to darken the numbers and it helped them be seen in the pictures .
