Rated 4 out of 5 Great tackel box
Love this new tackel box, it has A LOT of room for anything you want. It is larger than i expected but due to the sides not being hard plastic you can fit it into tighter spaces. The 6 pack cooler is a great idea or you can just pull it out for more space if needed.

Rated 5 out of 5Â by jcl9 Very Functional
Holds a day full of lures, hooks, line, etc. Cooler is a nice touch and is large enough for water and some sandwiches. Convenient lid for quick access to "favorites". Side pckets for tools - add a 3600 box or two if required.

Rated 4 out of 5Â by flyguide new guide bag
I bought this bag and ditched the little cooler instantly. It is my new guide bag for flyfishing trips in a drift boat in Montana. I wanted something that held hard boxes, had some division, and kept the water out. I know it won't soak up the splashes because its plastic! Although the side compartments are not waterproof, I can keep fly boxes, leaders, etc, in them and keep the dry stuff in the middle or up top. The little top tray hold handy stuff like indicators, tools, cell phone. I am very happy and recommend this to anyone. True "guide bags" cost $100 and are no better than this box, they leak and their zippers break. Can't say anything about durability yet, but it seems sturdy.

I plan to use this primarily for surf fishing off of the beach... it looks like a fantastic box, but i'm worried that it will be too much of a hassle to wash off the sand and mud that will get on it...I know that the cooler is removable, but are the other two pockets removable as well?

I would say it would be easy to wash since everything inside is removable and the sides are not hard plastic.Only the cooler is removable not the side pockets.
